Apple Computer reports fourth-quarter earnings later Tuesday, but it’s what the company says on Wednesday that may grab investors’ attention this week,” Troy Wolverton reports for TheStreet.com. “Apple has scheduled a press event Wednesday where analysts expect CEO Steve Jobs to unveil a new, video-enabled iPod music player.

Overall this is just a fun way to show off your materialistic side, and a good way to find people with similar interests as yourself. You get to see who owns or wants the same products as yourself and from there you can see what other movies/games/music they are into. The problem is that the network is pretty small right now but if it gets bigger this could be a great way to waste time.

I guess all the speculation can come to an end. A video iPod would of been really nice but I guess we are going to have to wait a little longer for that.

“Here is a copy of the email sent to me from my ISP after HBO caught me downloading the latest episode of Entourage. Who knew that HBO would be watching?”

That’s a little scary thinking about how many times over the last 4 years I have depended on downloading to receive quality television. I guess HBO is trying to protect its investments, but they should be looking into expanding their investments. If HBO is tech Savvy enough to track the IP’s of users downloading their shows, I would imagine that they are tech savey enough to offer their shows on Bit Torrent, for a small price of course. Luckily for HBO, Entourage is the type of programing most people would probably be willing to pay for, I know I would. It seems like misdirected effort on behalf of HBO since they will never be able to stop people from downloading, they should really be working on providing a profitable alternative.

On the subject of downloading TV shows; TipMonkies has an informative article on how to Automatically download TV shows via BitTorrent. Using a mix of RSS and Bit Torrent you will have a TiVo-like system set up, for free!

Having a friend that died in Iraq this site makes me sick. all you black-hats and white-hats shut this site down. For just moral reasons and because they protested the funerals.

I ran an editorial about this group before but since this story has made it to the front page of Digg I decided to give it another go. This whole situation presents a major moral dilemma. Although I don’t hate this group’s message and would even consider it worthwhile to spend time in jail to physically assault the heads of this organization, they have the right to spread their message. It’s so lame, I mean fundamentally they are protesting their right to protest and that boggles my mind. This leads me to the digg story, should someone hack their site? I wish I had an answer to that, but I don’t. How could I say yes and not become a total hypocrite to my own stance on censorship. No, the Internet is great because anyone who has anything to say can. Weather it is hate groups or people with no lives who write lame rants ( Example). There is a sliver lining in situations like this though; 1.Karma. And 2. Bandwidth is not free.

Two really great sites to report on today. First is NFL2K5forever.com. Everyone knows by now about EA’s little plan to take down the NFL 2K series by purchasing the exclusive NFL license (as well as the AFL, just so Sega wouldn’t). Well this site is a protest in a way that will allow people who may have purchased NFL 2K4, still crave football games, and don’t want to buy in to EA’s $40 Madden 2006. This site allows you to update the rosters of 2K4 with the current roster in the NFL. This is really a great way to show EA that they don’t need them; they can still have their football game with out have to shell out the money just because they have monopolized the market. Way to stick it to the man.

The Art of Retouching is another great site that for those of use who are vein animals. You see these really hot girls all around and are trained that is what is what we want. Well this site shows that what you see isn’t usually what you get. Check it out and have your standards lowered!

v2.0 didn’t happen as they promised, however they promise it will come out “in the week of August 22” . I wish I could live my life on a week schedule. Forget having deadlines, I’ll just get it don’t sometime this week, way to go Sony
