New MBAs finding education pays off big time

This is exactly why I am going to grad school, not because I want a job I will enjoy, or to make myself a better person. Simply for the cold hard cash.

I JUST found out about this, and it’s pretty rad (no this is not a pre-fabbed letter)….

It’s called “Blingo” and it’s a way for a search engine to get more users… they do so by giving away prizes, at random, to people using their ’search engine’ (which is powered by google).

All you do is use the service to do your usual searches, and if you’re searching at the ‘right time of day’ you’ll be a winner…. their prizes include Sony PSPs, portable DVD players, gift certificates (amazon.com/itunes/movie tickets)… tons of cool stuff.

They WILL NOT spam you… They swear by that… so I figure, why not try to win sweet stuff while I’m searching the web?!

Check it out:

Blingo

*update*
I have not won anything yet, however my buddy who showed me the site has and has posted this picture as proof on his website, and he just signed up yesterday.

Google recently made some changes to its ad sense program, and just when you may have thought that I was enough of an ad whore; think again. You may have noticed the new buttons on my sidebar one for Firefox and one to join the ad sense program. Well these are for new referral services where google will pay you any time someone downloads Firefox from your site, or when they sign up for ad sense through your page.

This is a great feature since I already recommend Firefox to every PC user I know. However, it wasn’t till recently that I my self switched from OS X’s beloved Safari to Firefox. The main reason for my switch? I finally found some extensions that now that I have installed and tried out, I can’t live without.

Session Saver is by far the best extension I have ever seen. This extension will preserve your open tabs if for some reason you accidently close your browser or if crashes. This would work really well if you are looking at porn or something, and some one walks in on you and you close your browser really fast but don’t want to lose all the porn tabs you might have open, you cant buy that kind of peace of mind.

Adsense Notifier is a extension that automatically updates and displays your Google ad sense information (pay out, clicks, page visits) in the status bar of your Firefox browser. You can tell it how often you want it to update and saves you a lot of time if you are constantly checking your account.

infoRSS is my favorite RSS aggregator for Firefox. This extension will display any of your “live bookmarks” in a scrolling window in your status bar.

These are my favorite must have extensions for Firefox so do yourself a favor (and myself while your at it) and download Firefox from my site and then get these extensions; especially if you are still using IE.
